swimThe Longfellow Sports Club Aquatics Academy in Natick has taught thousands of people, young and old, how to swim and enjoy the water safely. Our Aquatics Department has put together a great staff of friendly and highly-skilled Red Cross Certified instructors. We have a full complement of swim and exercise programs, as well as, activities available for you and your family.

Learn to swim from one of our Red Cross Certified instructors, get in a water workout, join one of our Masters or youth competitive swim classes, unwind with a soothing 104 degree Jacuzzi, or you could just lounge by the pool, it’s up to you!

Preschool Programs

Our Preschool Program is for children ages 6 months through 6 years. Our WSI Certified teachers are selected based on their background in aquatics and experience working with young children. We focus on consistency, teacher support, and creating a nurturing environment. This great introduction for your new swimmer provides a solid foundation for future years in the water. The preschool program maintains a low student/teacher ratio.

Youth Programs

These classes are designed for children 6 yrs and older. Our focus is on learning to swim and stroke development. Stroke refinement and endurance are incorporated in the higher levels.

Stroke & Endurance Program

This program for children ages 9-17 is designed to get them ready for swim team season. We will work on strength, form, dives, turns, and technique in a fun and challenging atmosphere.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great option for adults or children. Day and evening times are available to both members and non-members.

Lap Swim

Lap Swimming is a great form of execise and we always have at least one lap lane available.

Summer Member Swim Program

Our summer lessons are open to our members for 9 one week sessions, all levels, Monday-Thursday morinings (Friday morning if there is rain during the week).  Monday and Wednesday afternoons, levels 2 & 3.  And Parent/Tot class Sunday mornings in July and August.

Masters Program

Masters swimming is a successful blend of fitness and competitive swimming for adults. Anyone aged 19 and over is welcome in any United States Masters Swimming club or event. (Only those 25 and older are eligible to participate in FINA World Masters meets.) The objectives of Masters swimming are fun, fitness, friendship and participation. Masters swimming is for everyone!

Certification Programs

We periodically offer classes for life guard training, life guard recertification, CPR, BLS, and WSI. Or you can schedule your own ARC class if you have a group set already. Please contact the club for more information.

Water Exercise


Longfellow Water Exercise classes are designed to accommodate various levels of ability.  Our class members range from moderately paced to more powerful exercisers.  Some participants benefit from increased recovery from surgery or injuries, while others are looking to enhance sports training and to speed up recovery from high impact workouts.  Both groups get the full benefit of an improved cardiovascular system, increased strength and more flexibility.  The water is unique because it allows for a simultaneous, total body workout.  We also have coached Master’s Swim Workouts-fabulous for swimmers, tri-athletes, or anyone desiring to improve swim technique and to feel more comfortable in the water.

Jane Polley MS RD,LDN, has been the director of Water Exercise since 1994.  She has a team of incredible instructors.  Our professional, hard-working, and energetic staff teach excellent, safe and challenging classes.  Our teachers support everyone to reach for their goals and to have fun doing it.  We have a very special community of participants, enjoying friendship and camaraderie in the water and outside of the pool too.  See our schedules for both clubs for classes ranging from 6:00am to 7:00pm seven days a week.
