Adult and Youth Counseling

Our Dietitians will see you for a one-hour initial consultation to develop an eating plan that will help to achieve specific goals.  We will also schedule times for consistent follow-up sessions that work best with your schedule.  Day, evenings and mornings are available for individual and group sessions.

Group Program:

Habits For Health and Happiness

Longfellow has teamed up with the Genavix Wellness Network, a group of over 20, top New England independent health clubs.  Habits For Health and Happiness is part of the Genavix 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program.  As a result of this partnership, we’ve replaced our already successful Living In Balance with an even more effective program.

We are seeing phenomenal results!  Participants lost a range of 10-25 pounds with decreased cholesterol, blood sugar and body fat.  They increased muscle mass, expended their exercise routine and looked at their choices in a much more balance, healthy and enjoyable way.  In addition, they are experiencing more energy,  better moods, and increased self-confidence.

The program includes:

  • Two private nutrition appointments with a dietitian, along with cholesterol and blood sugar screening
  • Two comprehensive fitness assessments with a fitness professional
  • 12-weekly group meetings, including an extensive session for nutrition education, along with specific reading and a process to help to create new ways of thinking and lasting habits
  • The group meetings also include an exercise component.  Participants enjoy a variety of classes including synergy, Pilates, funky groove, small group training, yoga, spinning, water exercise and more.
