childrens center 7Year round, The Longfellow Children’s Center offers unique, ultra convenient childcare options for busy parents. September through June, we run a licensed preschool and daycare as well as an after school program. Our programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Early Education and Care Department.  Parents may contact the EEC for the program’s licensing history at (508)798-5180.

Parents may “flex” their daycare schedule to meet their personal needs! The program is also designed to fulfill your child’s full-time preschool education, or infant/toddler daycare and educational needs. Children participate in our fun and enriching infant, toddler and preschool programs while their parents work or enjoy some free time.

Infant/Toddler Program

Classes for the Infant/Toddler Program (3 months – 2.9 years) include dance class, music and movement class, special activities, and indoor/outdoor free play.

Preschool Program

Classes for the Preschool program (2.9 years – 6 years) include art with clay work and other media, sports and fitness classes, math, science, social studies, indoor/outdoor free play, cooking class, language and literacy classes, and dance.

The Longfellow Children’s Center is open on any day that school is in session, as well as teacher days. On most snow days we remain open as well, weather permitting.

After School Program

The Longfellow After School Program (ages kindergarten through middle school) is currently accepting applications for the 2014-15 school year. Children from Sudbury, Wayland and Framingham schools in kindergarten through middle school are welcome. The cost includes transportation from school to our center.  Children enjoy swimming and tennis at The Longfellow Club and The Zip Zone, as well as sports, games and outdoor play. Art and cooking classes are held at our own After School Center as well as homework help with certified teachers. We’ll help your student stay active and fit while enjoying a truly different “after school” experience! Call (508) 358-0710 for more information.
